Hey!!! This is me playing catch up!!!
My name is Holly Harrison! I am a single mom to my wonderful Son who is six years old! He is the absolute Love of my life! I work at Model Lab as an Assistant Special Ed. Teacher!!! I love it!!! I have worked with children for 8 years!!! I taught pre-K and Kindergarten a year of each when I lived in ALT, Ga. I moved to Richmond In Feb. 2007. My degree is in Child Development, and I am currently taking class to obtain my Spec. Ed Degree (LBD and Science Certification)! You definitely have to have a heart for Teaching and Children (NO MATTER WHAT AGE THEY ARE) Students are with you more than there Families most of the time, and we have a GREAT impact on their lives!!!
Well, to say the least, I am very BUSY!!! Mom, Teacher, Student, and Much More!!! But, If you put your mind to ANYTHING and WORK HARD ALL things are possible!!!

I agree with you, if you work hard and believe in yourself, anything is possible. I think we have a lot in common, because I just moved here as well. I transfered from Fleming County this fall. I like Richmond, its small but not too small. It has a nice homey feel to it. Good Luck with your classes, and time management.
It sounds like being an assistant has really helped prepare you in teaching!
