My grandson has Asperger's

I am really looking forward to the class to learn more about this syndrome. My grandson was diagnosed at the end of the spring semester. He lives in northern Indiana and I get to spend little time with him. I did see him last weekend and he was great. We went to Applebee's for dinner. We went to the restroom and I waited on him. When he came out I asked to feel his hand because I did not hear the water run. His hands were dry. I asked if he had washed them and he said yes. I told him why I didnt think he washed them but he said he only turned the water on a tiny bit. I sent him back in and told him i was going to check so he probably just wet them for my approval. I wish I had time to work with him.

After Monday Night's class, I am wanting more information about Asperger's syndrome. I will be searching the web if anyone has any good site I can view. If I find any I will let you know. I am interested for my nephew.

I know when my friends found out their daughter has autism, they said they went through a period of grieving. They will be the main caregiver of their daughter for the rest of their lives.
