Language and communication is at the heart of society. Learning how to use language to communicate wants and have needs met can be a complex task for many children. Our course will explore how language develops and the intricate challenges many children face who experience a variety of physical, emotional and cognitive difficulties.

Video's for this week
I believe I have to agree with Whitney about the animal videos by far surpassing this weeks videos. I liked this weeks videos but I liked the animals much more!
I have to say by watching the videos, i thoroughly enjoy them, but i have to say that the best videos are the the ones of the animals. I believe that these videos the professor chooses has to do with communciation, and how well as adults we communicate and understand certain people, including animals!
I loved how the little girl was copying what her mother was saying, like she was mimeing the words. The one with the phone, I agree with her my granddaughter has one at my house and the batteries die fast because she finds a sound that she loves to hear and plays it over and over until she can say it just like they are. It is amazing to watch her learning to talk.
