I have never been much on group work, but this time it was fun. I enjoyed the activity and it brought to light things I didn't know about like pheromones ans morphology.

Sorry spelled a word wrong it is phonemes.
To post photos, when you are in the create window, there's a little picture button at the top (if you roll the ouse over it will say add image). You click that and then click browse, choose the photo you want to add and submit it. Add text to the post and submit the post. Hope this helps!
I too have never been much into group work but I thoroughly enjoyed the activities we did in class Monday night. Not only did I learn more about the class content I was also able to big up some neat activities that I can tweak and use in my own classroom lessons. I think that the index card activity would be a nice way to teach the parts of speech. And the activity where we created words using morphemes would be an excellent way to teach children about compound words.
I understand completely how you feel, I am also not much on group work. I have had bad experience in the past, where I was the only one during the work. I can tell this class is going to be different. The group work in this class has really helped.
I am with you on not being much for group work. However, in this course I feel that it will be one of the most helpful and entertaining things we do. Sometimes groups of people cannot be counted on fully, but I get the feeling that we all share enough of a passion for what we're doing that it will be a totally different experience for us all. :)
I liked the class too. I enjoy working in groups and getting things done. Hopefully, we will get to do that more.
