Language and communication is at the heart of society. Learning how to use language to communicate wants and have needs met can be a complex task for many children. Our course will explore how language develops and the intricate challenges many children face who experience a variety of physical, emotional and cognitive difficulties.

I agree, I was worried about how to do the assignment and I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks
I'm very glad that we went over this all class period last night. When we first discussed it, I was sure that I would do pragmatics only because Mrs. White said it was the easiest to do. However, both semantics and syntax don't seem that difficult and quite interesting. Gives me something to think about now!
I totally agree. It helped so much to get to talk about it more and have time to ask all the questions that we had. Thanks plus now I think that I will do better on it since I have a better understanding on what it being asked of us.
I am glad that this class session helped. I am curious to know which parts were different in this class as opposed to the previous class where I passed out the exact same handout (except for the rubric) that made it more clear this time.
We started with syntax the first time. This time we started with pragmatics. I know we covered semantic phases in more detail.
What else was different that helped you understand the project more?
What made it more clear this time was actually performing some of the things we will have to do for the language sample. If I recall correctly, I had somewhat of an understanding last time, but not as much of the practicing it. It helped to look at the list of grammatical morphemes and semantic phases and actually placed words or phrases into the correct category. That is what made it so much more beneficial to me. Plus the repetition helped as well.
