Language and communication is at the heart of society. Learning how to use language to communicate wants and have needs met can be a complex task for many children. Our course will explore how language develops and the intricate challenges many children face who experience a variety of physical, emotional and cognitive difficulties.

I like having guest speakers in our class, it lets us have a view from real people. I thought it was nice to have Jenna and her mom come and talk to us about what they went trough and how they felt about it.
I agree. I think Jenna's mom brought up some great things to think about as far as things to consider when working with a child who has hearing impairments.
It is hard to for forsee difficulties that children may have scholastically.I will consider the problems that Jenna has overcome in in my classroom.
I was glad that we were able to have Jenna's mom come speak to us too. It was benificial to get a parents insight and views on concerns and thoughts from a real case scenerio. I do thank both of them in sharing their life experiences with us.
